Sylvie Bertrand, owner of LB Immigration, graduated from York College of Industry and Technology as an Immigration Consultant.
In 2006 – 2007, she was welcomed back to her college as a Teacher for the Immigration Consultant Program. While a member in good standing of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, she became a member of CSIC’s Standing Examination Committee and was Chair of that committee from 2007 – 2009. She has also been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Québec Chapter of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants since August 2006..
In 2010, she became a member of The Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, the current regulatory body governing the profession of Immigration Consultants in Canada. She was member of the initial Board of Directors of the ICCRC until November 2013. During her tenure, she held the position of Chair of the Education, the Communications and the Governance and Nominating Committees. She is also registered to the Québec Registry of Immigration Consultants. Sylvie’s love of education, professional development and continuous learning has brought her back to teaching immigration law, policies and practices. In 2012, she joined a team of instructors who teach the Immigration Practitioner Program offered by the Cégep St-Laurent in Montréal.
